The Trust Objective Statement:
The property shall be held in trust for the purposes of a village hall for the use of the inhabitants of the Parish of Haxby without distinction of political, religious or other opinions, including use for meetings, lectures and classes and for other forms of recreation and leisure-time occupation, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants.
The Current Priorities of the Trustees are:
to carry out essential maintenance of the existing buildings and grounds.
to ensure the security of the premises.
to return the Hall’s finances to an annual surplus.
to complete the preparation of options for future redevelopment.
This website has been set up by the Trustees with a number of objectives in mind, namely:
- to promote and raise awareness of the Hall as a community resource in the Haxby and Wigginton area.
- to promote facilities, activities, classes and events held there.
- to help raise funds for essential maintenance of the buildings and grounds, and for future redevelopment.
